Taylor Fly Fishing approached me to create an original trout illustration for use across merchandise including hats, stickers, and apparel. The goal was to develop a piece that felt bold and authentic—something that would resonate with fly anglers and embody the spirit of wild water and wild fish.

Taylor needed a unique illustration that stood out in a saturated market of fly fishing merch—something that looked custom, not clip-art. It had to reflect the brand’s modern yet soulful identity, and be flexible enough to print well on various materials without losing visual impact.

  Studied trout anatomy, movement, and coloration using my own photography and field notes to ensure anatomical accuracy with a stylized twist.
