  • Create a visually striking and thematically rich hero image for a Vortex-sponsored shotgun giveaway campaign. The goal was to craft a compelling scene that captured the rugged, weathered soul of spring turkey hunting—emphasizing grit, nostalgia, and authenticity while showcasing the shotguns as centerpiece prizes. The final image needed to feel cinematic yet product-focused, appealing to a passionate hunting audience across digital marketing channels, social media, and promotional materials.

  • This campaign needed to stand out instantly—cutting through a crowded digital space with imagery that would hook viewers and pull them into the giveaway. The goal wasn’t just to showcase a product—it was to build a moment that felt authentic, cinematic, and unmistakably Vortex.

    • Create an Attention-Grabbing Scene
The visuals had to stop the scroll, spark curiosity, and feel earned. We wanted the viewer to feel like they were stepping into a lived-in, familiar space—one that hinted at stories, use, and tradition.

    • Avoid a “Staged” Look
Despite being shot entirely in-studio, the environment needed to feel raw and grounded—not artificial or overly styled. Everything from the lighting to the prop selection had to work in harmony to suggest a natural, real-world setting.

    • Balance Clarity with Grit
The shotgun, camo patterns, and key product features had to be cleanly visible without sacrificing the moody, organic atmosphere we were aiming for. The creative direction had to thread the needle between visual precision and environmental storytelling.

In short: build a moment that felt real enough to belong in the field—but polished enough to anchor a major digital campaign.

  • Working entirely within our in-house studio space, I led the full creative direction of the shoot—from initial concept through final delivery. Every element was considered with purpose and precision.

    • Set Design & Styling
I sourced and curated each set piece—from aged barnwood panels and vintage hunting gear to spent shotgun shells and antler sheds—to create a cohesive, lived-in backdrop. The goal was to evoke the spirit of a seasoned hunter’s gear table, grounded in texture and authenticity.

    • Lighting & Mood Creation
Lighting was tightly controlled to enhance contrast, depth, and surface definition. I aimed for a cinematic, golden hour-inspired tone that brought warmth and clarity to the scene without artificial gloss.

    • Composition & Product Focus
Each shotgun was carefully positioned for visual rhythm and balance, ensuring camouflage patterns, branding marks, and key product details were highlighted without losing the rustic, grounded tone of the set.

    • Creative Oversight
In addition to photography, I directed scene styling, prop placement, and post-shoot editing. Every image was refined to align with Vortex’s brand voice—bold, rugged, and intentional.

    • Campaign Integration
After finalizing the images, I incorporated them into giveaway marketing materials across digital channels—supporting social posts, email campaigns, and web banners with cohesive visual storytelling.
