  • I led the visual branding and creative direction for the Vortex Hunts series—building a cinematic, story-first design system that gave each episode its own identity while keeping the overall look bold, cohesive, and unmistakably Vortex.

  • Vortex was launching a new long-form hunting series, but lacked a visual identity that could scale across dozens of episodes and platforms. Thumbnails were inconsistent, brand presence was diluted, and the videos weren’t gaining the traction they deserved. We needed a recognizable system that could elevate the content, reinforce brand loyalty, and drive YouTube performance.

    • Research & Discovery
Analyzed high-performing outdoor content and identified common visual patterns that grab attention while feeling authentic.

    • Design System Creation
Built a modular thumbnail framework using bold typography, action-forward compositions, and cinematic overlays that captured the emotion of the hunt.

    • Cross-Functional Collaboration
Worked closely with editors and marketing teams to ensure designs paired seamlessly with video pacing, narrative tone, and rollout schedules.

    • Template Development
Delivered a flexible toolkit and asset library so internal teams could easily replicate the system across future episodes and social content.

    • YouTube Engagement
Viewership climbed into the millions after launching the new visuals, driving significant increases in engagement and recognition for the series."

    • Brand Recognition
The look and feel became a blueprint for future Vortex video series and was praised internally for its impact and scalability.
