Design a bold, versatile badge for the Vortex Ambassador Summit—an invite-only gathering of brand ambassadors, content creators, and industry partners. The badge needed to capture the essence of the event: community, adventure, and alignment with the rugged, high-performance identity of the Vortex brand. It was essential that the final mark feel elevated and outdoors-driven while remaining adaptable across print, apparel, signage, and digital media.
approach
To reflect the summit’s adventurous spirit and brand alignment, I developed a graphic system rooted in clean geometry and bold type hierarchy. The mountain silhouette was custom-illustrated to convey grit, ascent, and the outdoor ethos central to Vortex’s brand identity. I paired this with a stacked, all-caps wordmark—giving “SUMMIT” visual weight to emphasize the significance of the event. The color palette was selected to complement Vortex’s existing brand tones while standing out in both daylight and dark mode environments. The final design was optimized for use across a variety of applications, from hats and patches to digital banners and backdrops, ensuring instant recognition and consistency throughout the event.
